Domaine Uby - Colombard Sauvignon N°3 2019
I was looking for an inexpensive wine, easily accessible, an aperitif wine to drink fresh, my choice fell on a Domaine UBY - Colombard Sauvignon N ° 3 2019.
This wine is a Côtes de Gascogne, IGP vineyard from the South West, produced on the same territory as Armagnac mainly in the department of Gers.
IGP Côtes de Gascogne is a vineyard with an area of 13,000 ha, for a production of 750,000 hl, mainly white wines (85%), 60% of production goes to export in more from 100 countries by making the most exported French white wines in the world.
The Domaine UBY is located in the commune of Cazaubon in the North West of the department at the "border" of the Landes on the terroir of Bas-Armagnac renowned for giving white wines with fruity aromas and nuances of spring flowers.
François Morel has chosen to work all of the 250 ha of his vineyard in reasoned and controlled viticulture (night harvesting, low temperature fermentation, aging on fine lees, etc.).
This N ° 3 resulting from the successful marriage of the two grape varieties Colombard (80%) and Sauvignon (20%) gives a wine full of liveliness, an aromatic power with lemony notes and a nice length in the mouth, oily and fresh at the same time.
Drink now, served between 8 and 10 ° C, this sharing wine will be the ideal companion for your aperitifs, tapas, seafood platter.
At € 6.50 a bottle (€ 5.30 per box of 6), I bought it and I have already started to attack my reserve to populate my confined aperitifs.
